Stanford's Nneka Ogwumike taken first in WNBA draft

The Los Angeles Sparks selected Nneka Ogwumike with the top overall pick in the 2012 WNBA draft on Monday.
Ogwumike, a forward from Stanford University, averaged 22.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game as senior. She was a three-time All-American.
Ogwumike, who became the first Stanford player to be the No. 1 pick, helped the Cardinal make it to the Final Four in each of her four seasons.

The Sparks had the first pick for the first time since 2008, when they selected Candace Parker.
