Queens, NY – St. John's guard Rysheed Jordan is taking an indefinite leave of absence for personal reasons, Red Storm coach Steve Lavin announced Friday.
Lavin said Jordan, the team's second-leading scorer, is leaving to deal with personal and family matters in his native Philadelphia.
The 6-foot-4 sophomore will not be with the No. 15 Red Storm for their game on Saturday against Butler.
Jordan is averaging 14 points this season, sixth-most in the Big East.
