Spectator pays for Sergio's birdie

For one patron who was out watching the early Masters action, it will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.
A patron decribed as "an elder woman" was down by the right-hand corner of the par-5 second hole watching the early groups go past when she was plunked in the forehead by the second shot of Sergio Garcia.
Sergio's golf ball opened a cut on her forehead that a tending doctor said would require "a couple stitches," and she will spend her Sunday afternoon not watching golf, but visiting a nearby outpatient room.

As Garcia approached, she deadpanned, "Thanks, Sergio," and he was clearly shaken when he saw the blood from the woman's head. The good news, if there is any here? One, the ball ricocheted into the fairway, and Garcia managed to make his fourth birdie of the week at No. 2. Two, he also apologized with sincerity to the woman, then signed his TaylorMade ball and handed it to her when he was done with the hole.
Garcia then double-bogeyed the third hole and three-putted the fourth and is looking like a guy who'd rather be someplace other than Augusta on this beautiful Sunday.
Funny, I know of at least one woman who'd gladly trade where she is right now to be back on that golf course.
