Former Tulane great Shaun King, the former Tampa Bay Bucs QB, will become the new USF quarterbacks coach, a source told FOX Sports Tuesday morning.
The 38-year-old St. Petersburg, Fla., native led the Green Wave to an undefeated season in 1998 and set an NCAA record for passing efficiency. He finished 10th in the Heisman voting that year. As an NFL QB, King helped the Bucs get to the NFC title game and one game shy of a Super Bowl appearance. King has spent much of the past decade since leaving the NFL as a broadcaster.
On Tuesday afternoon King changed his Twitter bio to reflect his new coaching position.
