Sopoaga waived as Cardinals finalize roster

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Veteran defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga was among 20 players cut on Saturday, as the Arizona Cardinals finalized their 53- man roster.
Sopoaga, who signed with the club last week, has made 89 starts in 139 career games for the 49ers, Eagles and Patriots. He was drafted by San Francisco in 2005 and spent eight of his first nine years in the league in the Bay Area.
The Cardinals also parted ways with running backs Zach Bauman and Jalen Parmele, wide receivers Dan Buckner and Brittan Golden, tight end Andre Hardy, guards Philip Blake and Anthony Steen, center John Estes, tackle Kelvin Palmer, defensive lineman Bruce Gaston and Christian Tupou, linebackers Marcus Benard, Jonathan Brown and Adrian Tracy, cornerbacks Jimmy Legree, Bryan McCann and Teddy Williams and safeties Curtis Taylor and Anthony Walters.

Tackle Nate Potter was also released with an injury settlement and safety Eddie Whitley (broken foot) was moved to injured reserve.
