Sights & Sounds: Getting ready to kiss the bricks at Indianapolis

It is almost time for one of the biggest races of the season, the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Fans have been filing into the historic speedway since early this morning, with teams hard at work in the garage preparing for Sunday's race.

The teams have been busy setting up their pit stalls, taking the cars through the NASCAR technical inspection and rolling the cars out on pit road.

The drivers, on the other hand, have been making sponsor appearances, hospitality visits and more.

It is very hot at Indianapolis, which will be a challenge for both drivers and crew members throughout the day. Most pit stalls are equipped with large cooling units, but hydration will be key throughout the day.

As the race nears, the competitors packed into the weekly driver-crew chief meeting before making their way to driver introductions.
