Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - The Ottawa Senators and goaltender Andrew Hammond agreed to a three-year contract extension on Wednesday.
The average annual value of the contract is $1.35 million.
Nicknamed "The Hamburglar," Hammond keyed Ottawa's late-season surge for a playoff spot, going 20-1-2 with a 1.79 goals-against average and .941 save percentage.
The 27-year-old Hammond started the first two games in Ottawa's opening-round series against Montreal, but was replaced by veteran Craig Anderson after allowing seven goals on 81 shots in a pair of losses.
