Senators acquire Bishop from Blues

The Ottawa Senators on Sunday acquired round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Ottawa was in need of some depth in net after Craig Anderson suffered a lacerated right pinky finger. He was hurt while preparing a meal at home and is sidelined indefinitely.

In parts of two NHL seasons in St. Louis, the 25-year-old Bishop appeared between the pipes in 13 games and posted a 4-5-1 record with a .896 save percentage and a 2.83 goals-against average.

The 6-foot-7 netminder had been spending this season with the Blues' AHL affiliate in Peoria. He was recently named MVP of the 2012 AHL All-Star Game and has a mark of 24-14-10 with a 2.26 GAA and an AHL-best six shutouts this season.
