Seattle Sounders FC signed Swedish international year contract Thursday.
Johansson, 28, has spent the last seven years with Goteborg in Sweden. He made 129 appearances, and scored twice.

Johansson debuted for Sweden in 2009 in a friendly against the U.S., and later started three World Cup qualifiers for his country. Sweden is ranked 18th in the world, and qualified for the Euro 2012 finals.
"I had a great stay in Seattle while meeting with officials from the club, and seeing the stadium and training ground," said Johansson. "I got a really good feeling. It will be a new start for me, a new life. It's going to be a good adventure."
Johansson's move to Seattle will be finalized upon receipt of his P-1 visa and International Clearance.
