Sachia Vickery wins USTA Girls' 18s, beating Alexandra Kiick 4-6, 6-2, 6-0
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Top-seeded Sachia Vickery beat second-seeded Alexandra Kiick 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 on Sunday to win the USTA Girls' 18s National Championship at Barnes Tennis Center.
Vickery, the 17-year-old Miramar, Fla., player who is 230th in the WTA Tour rankings, overcame a slow start and finished strong to close out Kiick, from Plantation, Fla., in 1 hour, 46 minutes.
Vickery earned a wild card into the women's singles main draw in the U.S. Open.
