Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Sabres signed unrestricted free agent forward Kevin Porter to an undisclosed contract.
The deal was reported by a Tweet from Porter's agent, Alec Schall, on Thursday.
Porter was limited to 35 games last season for the Colorado Avalanche, picking up just four goals and seven points. The Detroit native was also suspended four games for a knee-to-knee hit on Vancouver's David Booth.
A former fourth-round pick of Phoenix in 2004 who won the Hobey Baker Award at Michigan in 2008, Porter has totaled 25 goals and 45 points in 163 contests for the Coyotes and Avs since 2008.
