Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Sabres and forward John Scott agreed to terms on a one-year contract on Sunday.
Scott played for the Blackhawks and Rangers last season and totaled one assist and 53 penalty minutes in 35 games.
"John's size and toughness make him a difficult player to battle against," said Buffalo general manager Darcy Regier said. "His physical play will be a valuable addition to our team."
Over four seasons in the NHL with the Rangers, Blackhawks and Wild, he has one goal and four assists along with 236 penalty minutes.
