Sabres place Hodgson on IR

Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres placed center Cody Hodgson on injured reserve on Wednesday.
Hodgson suffered an upper-body injury after blocking a shot in the first period of a 4-2 win over Boston on Dec. 19.
The 23-year-old has supplied eight goals and 11 assists in 33 games this season for the Sabres.

Buffalo also announced that they recalled defenseman Brayden McNabb and forward Johan Larsson from their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans.
