S Carolina's Brewer transfers to Texas

South Carolina freshman forward Kayla Brewer will transfer to Texas and enroll in classes for the spring semester.

Texas coach Gail Goestenkors announced the move Thursday.

The 6-foot-1 Brewer played in seven games at South Carolina, averaging 13.9 minutes, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 points.

Brewer will be allowed to practice with the No. 22 Longhorns (11-3) but will not be allowed to play in games or travel with the team this season.
