Oregon sophomore running back Royce Freeman has set a single-season record for rushing yards in Duck history.

Freeman, who finished the regular season with 1,706 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, broke the record previously held by LaMichael James of 1,805 yards.

James congratulated Freeman on the record on Twitter.

Freeman broke the record in the fourth quarter of Saturday's Alamo Bowl.
