NEW YORK (AP) — Kansas City Royals pitcher Adam Bostick has been suspended for 50 games following a second positive test for a drug of abuse under baseball's minor league program.
The 27-year-old right-hander, in his ninth minor league season without making it up to the majors, is with the Triple-A Omaha Royals but has not appeared in a game this year. He spent the previous three seasons in the New York Mets organization.
Bostick originally was drafted by Florida on the sixth round in 2001.
