Roma downs Inter Milan at the San Siro

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo and Marquinho scored in the second half at the San Siro as Roma defeated Inter Milan, 3-1, in Serie A on Sunday.

Roma's Alessandro Florenzi and Inter Milan's Antonio Cassano traded first-half goals, but Osvaldo notched the match-winner in the 66th and Marquinho added an insurance goal nine minutes from time.

Roma opened the season with a 2-2 home draw against Catania, but earned three huge road points in Milan.

Inter started with a 3-0 win at promoted Pescara, but followed the lead of AC Milan with a loss in its opener in Milan.

Juventus 4, Udinese 1

Udine, Italy - Sebastian Giovinco scored twice in the second half as Juventus crushed 10-man Udinese, 4-1, on Sunday at the Stadio Friuli to extend its run without a loss to 40 straight Serie A matches.

Zeljko Brkic was sent off after 12 minutes and Arturo Vidal converted from the spot to send Juve on its way to a convincing win. Mikro Vucinic added a second goal before halftime, and Giovinco scored in the 52nd and 71st minutes.

Andrea Lazzari pulled a consolation goal back for Udinese, which has lost its first two matches.

Juve finished undefeated last season, and has maintained its form early in the new season.

Sampdoria 2, Siena 1

Genoa, Italy - Maxi Lopez and Daniele Gastaldello scored as Sampdoria followed its season-opening win at AC Milan with a 2-1 win over Siena on Sunday at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Serie A.

Lopez opened the scoring in the 44th and, after Simone Vergassola leveled for Siena just after the hour mark, Gastaldello scored the game-winner in the 67th minute.

Sampdoria is one of just four teams, along with Juventus, Napoli and Lazio, to open the season with two straight wins.

Siena tied its opener, but still sits last in the table with minus-five points due to a six-point penalty for match-fixing.

Cagliari 1, Atalanta 1

Cagliari, Italy - Albin Ekdal scored in stoppage time as Cagliari escaped with a point in a 1-1 draw against Atalanta, despite missing two penalty kicks and playing more than 60 minutes up a man at the Stadio Sant'Elia in Serie A.

Joaquin Larrivey and Daniele Conti missed penalty kicks in the first half for Cagliari, and Federico Peluso was sent off in the 28th minute for Atalanta.

But Atalanta led through an 80th-minute goal form German Denis, and Cagliari needed a 91st-minute strike from Ekdal to rescue its first point. Atalanta is at minus-one point after a preseason penalty for match-fixing.

Lazio 3, Palermo 0

Rome, Italy - Miroslav Klose scored twice as Roma remained perfect through two games in Serie A with a 3-0 win over Palermo on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico.

Klose scored in the 38th and 81s minutes, around a goal from Antonio Candreva, as Lazio made easy work of Palermo. Lazio started with a 1-0 win at Atalanta and has not allowed a goal through its first two matches.

Palermo has not scored in its first two matches, both losses. Palermo started the season with a 3-0 home loss against Napoli.

Catania 3, Genoa 2

Catania, Italy - Gonzalo Bergessio scored twice and Francesco Lodi scored the match-winner in a three-goal second half for Catania, which edged Genoa, 3-2, on Sunday at the Stadio Angelo Massimino in Serie A.

Juraj Kucka handed Genoa the lead in the first half, but Bergessio scored his two goals in a two-minute stretch and, after Bosko Jankovic scored in the 82nd for Genoa to tie the match, Lodi added the winner in the 84th.

Catania opened with a 2-2 draw at Roma, and has four points from two matches. Genoa dropped its first, as it failed to add to a 2-0 win over Cagliari.

Napoli 2, Fiorentina 1

Naples, Italy - Blerim Dzemaili scored the match-winner 15 minutes from time as Napoli remained perfect through two Serie A matches with a 2-1 win against Fiorentina on Sunday at the Stadio San Paolo.

Napoli opened with a 3-0 win at Palermo, and Marek Hamsik headed in off Borja Valero in the 55th and Dzemaili added his goal in the 75th, which turned out to be the winner when Stevan Jovetic scored late for Fiorentina.

Fiorentina, which opened with a 2-1 win over Udinese, lost its first game this season.

Parma 2, Chievo 0

Parma, Italy - Ishak Belfodil and Aleandro Rosi scored on each side of half as Parma downed Chievo, 2-0, on Sunday in Serie A at the Stadio Ennio Tardini for its first win of the season.

Chievo started with a 2-0 home win over Bologna last weekend, but dropped its first of the season.
