Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies activated pitcher Jorge De La Rose from the 15-day disabled list to start against the Padres in Monday's opener of a four-game set.
De La Rosa, who signed a two-year contract extension last season, will make his season debut after missing two weeks with a groin injury.
The left-hander compiled a 14-11 record with a 4.10 earned run average and 139 strikeouts in 32 starts last season.
To make room for De La Rosa, the Rockies optioned pitcher Scott Oberg to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Oberg was 1-0 and gave up five runs -- three earned -- on six hits in 2 2/3 innings over three relief appearances.
