Court records show Robert Morris guard Karon Abraham has waived his right to a preliminary hearing on drunken driving and other charges.
Police say Abraham told them he drank vodka before driving to a fast-food restaurant, where he crashed a borrowed car into a parked vehicle in November. He has been charged with first-offense drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 or above. That's twice the legal limit in Pennsylvania.
Abraham, a sophomore from Paterson, N.J., has pleaded not guilty. A trial date has not been set.
