Ribery to miss Arsenal clash

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery will miss the second leg of his team's Champions League round of 16 contest against Arsenal on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

A statement released by the club on Monday confirmed that Ribery will be out for Wednesday's game after Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes said his inclusion in the side was doubtful on Sunday.

Bayern is in firm control of the two-legged affair as the Bavarians claimed a 3-1 win in London over the Gunners in the first leg.

In addition to Ribery, Bayern will also be without midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and defender Jerome Boateng through suspension.
