Former Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads is looking to get back into the coaching ranks. Rhoads is considered a finalist to take the head coaching job at Texas State, which went 3-9 in 2015.

Rhoads compiled a 32-55 record in seven seasons at Iowa State, but did take the Cyclones to three bowl games in his first four seasons.

Rhoads was fired in the midst of a 3-9 season in Ames.
