The contract is believed to include a $3 million to $3.5 million base salary with bonuses based on playing time, according to the Sun-Sentinel. He is expected to start for Miami at second base.

Furcal, 36, underwent Tommy John surgery in March and missed all of last season.

In 1,605 career games with the Braves, Dodgers and Cardinals, Furcal has hit .281 with 311 doubles, 113 homers and 585 RBI.
