Daniel Tosh took his Comedy Central show to Las Vegas in order to try and help a friend, comedian Andy Ritchie, who is battling a brain tumor. There, he hit a sports book and placed a $25,000 bet on the New England Patriots, hoping to double his money and have the winnings go toward paying Ritchie's medical bills, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

He hit ... big.

Tosh had started a Gofundme to raise money for Ritchie. It quickly went viral -- as so many of his videos do off his Tosh.0 show on Comedy Central and Tosh had $25,000 to play with in Vegas. The actual Gofundme has already passed the $46,000 mark.

From the Hollywood Reporter:

"Once I double it, [Ritchie] can do whatever he wants with it; go on a lion-hunting safari or get treatment," Tosh said.

Tosh bet it all on the New England Patriots to cover the first-half three-point spread against his beloved Miami Dolphins during the Thursday night game.

Charlie Siskel, executive producer of the show, told THR the bet is legit, and Tosh will give every penny of his winnings to Ritchie.

"It is a bit for the show as we are doing it for comedy, but it is also real," says Siskel. "If we win, yes, the plan is to contribute it to Andy, who's in a rough spot."

Tosh and friends did a skit -- somewhat NSFW -- that showed him in formal wear in Las Vegas, ready to place the bet, which he did on New England, giving Miami 3.5 points in the first half.

The Patriots covered -- easily -- heading to the break with a 19-0 lead. To see the winning ticket, click here.

"If my Dolphins are winning, I'm happy. If they're losing, Andy gets some much-needed help. If the Dolphins are only losing by three points, there is no God," Tosh said. "So please, Tom Brady, once in your life, you and Bill [Belichick] use your shady, dishonest cheating powers for good in the first half only. In the second half, I hope you get the bleep kicked out of you."
