Reds SS Cozart hit on helmet by pitch
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Cincinnati Reds rookie shortstop Zack Cozart was hit on the helmet by a pitch from Chad Billingsley in the fifth inning of Monday's 8-2 win against the Dodgers.
With two outs, Billingsley's 89 mph fastball caromed off the top portion of Cozart's helmet. Cozart remained on the ground for a brief moment until medical personnel attended to him. Cozart walked off the field under his own power and was pinch-run for by Wilson Valdez.
Cozart suffered a mild concussion and will be evaluated Tuesday.

Selected in the second round of the 2007 draft by Cincinnati, the 26-year-old Cozart hit .324 with two homers in 11 games for the Reds last year.
