"It's nice to get it out of the way," McClement said of his first goal of the season.
The Wings essentially wrapped up the game in the latter stages of the opening period, when Datsyuk and Tatar lit the lamp in a span of exactly two minutes.
First, it was the veteran Russian, who was left alone on the right wing to take Jonathan Ericsson's cross-ice feed and beat Ward from the right circle through traffic at 16:36.

Then, the young Slovakian had his turn at 18:36 taking Datsyuk's tap feed on the left wing and scoring to the far side with a quick wrister.
"Every goaltender loves when the defensemen have the rebounds," said Mrazek. "I gave up a couple rebounds at the end of the first period and guys cleared everything out."
Tatar made it 3-0 at 12:14 of the second period, finishing off a give-and-go with Datsyuk with a successful shot from the slot.
