The Tampa Bay Rays have placed right-hander Jeremy Hellickson on the 15-day disabled list with fatigue in his pitching shoulder.
The move, announced Tuesday, is retroactive to June 15, a day after Hellickson gave up nine hits -- including three homers -- and eight runs in just 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Mets.
He is 4-3 this season with a 3.45 earned run average in 13 starts, but is winless in his last five outings.
