Rays come to terms with Guerrieri

St. Petersburg, FL – The Tampa Bay Rays signed right-handed pitcher Taylor Guerrieri, the 24th overall pick in the first round of this year's draft.

The 19-year-old righty played at Spring Valley (SC) High School and went 6-1 with a 1.10 ERA in nine games, including three complete games, during his senior season He was the fourth straight high school player drafted by the Rays with their first selection (2008-11).
