Ray Evernham and wife Erin are parents to a brand new baby girl.

The couple announced the birth of their daughter on Twitter early Saturday morning.

Evernham is most well-known for guiding Jeff Gordon to Sprint Cup Series championships in 1995, 1997 and 1998 at Hendrick Motorsports. He later spearheaded Dodge's return to NASCAR's top series in 2001.

Evernham currently works as a consultant for the Hendrick organization, and is involved in the broadcasting field.

The former Erin Crocker has 39 starts between what is now the NASCAR XFINITY Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, so the racing bloodlines will run deep in the Evernhams' baby girl.

"Hopefully she will be another redhead lady driver pretty soon," Evernham said in an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio in June.

Evernham and Crocker were wed in August 2009.

Ray Evernham has a son, Ray J, from a previous relationship.
