Ravens backup quarterback Matt Schaub may have warded off some of his detractors with a solid preseason debut. Terrell Suggs is not one of them.

Suggs took his trash talking to Schaub to a new level over the weekend, according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley. After Schaub overthrew a receiver, Suggs was quick with a jab. "Everything up until the throw looked really good."

Schaub rebounded with a touchdown pass to DeAndre Carter, but Suggs then delivered a proverbial knockout punch, telling teammate Will Hill, who was in coverage that "a broken clock is right twice a day."

Ouch.

Suggs chastised Schaub for frequently throwing to the wrong team in practice last week. This is the type of treatment usually reserved for younger players, or at least opposing quarterbacks. Schaub, an 11-year veteran, seems to be taking it in good stride, and he responded by going 11-of-18 with three scoring drives against New Orleans last Thursday night.
