Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was absent from Wednesday's practice with what the team said was an illness -- reportedly a cold that's not expected to sideline him for this weekend's game in Cleveland.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh was asked if he expected Flacco back soon and said, "I don't know. We'll see."

Flacco, now in his seventh NFL season, has never missed a game. Not having him around was strange to some teammates.

"It was weird," said defensive lineman Haloti Ngata. "(Linebacker Terrell Suggs) and I were thinking, like, we've never actually been at a practice without Joe Flacco being out there. Whatever he has going on, I hope for all the best for him."

The Baltimore Sun reported Flacco's illness was a cold that isn't regarded as serious.

Also missing practice for the 1-1 Ravens were defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) and tackle Eugene Monroe (knee). Cornerbacks Asa Jackson (concussion) and Lardarius Webb (back) were full participants in practice.
