Rangers right wing Arron Asham is sitting out against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night after he hurt his groin in New York's previous game.

Asham, injured Sunday during a 6-3 home loss to Pittsburgh, has played in only one of New York's first three games. He missed the opener at Boston on Saturday when he served a suspension from last year's postseason while playing with Pittsburgh.

Asham got into a fight right off the opening faceoff in his Rangers debut on Sunday and logged a total of 5 minutes, 53 seconds of ice time.

Defenseman Steve Eminger is taking Asham's place in the lineup, and Stu Bickel is moving up from defense to fill Asham's spot at forward.

Rangers rookie Chris Kreider is in the lineup after sustaining a hard shot to the jaw from Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik on Sunday.
