London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey looks set to be out of action until January because of a hamstring injury, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed.

The 23-year-old scored twice in Arsenal's 4-1 Champions League win over Galatasaray on Tuesday, but that performance may be Ramsey's last for the club in 2014.

"We have the scan last night and I don't know enough the extent of his injury," Wenger told a news conference. "It's a shame because he was getting close to his form."

Wenger was unable to reveal a timescale for the return of the Wales international, but reports have indicated that Ramsey will most likely be out until January, adding to Arsenal's injury problems.

Ramsey has appeared in 14 Premier League games this season for the Gunners, scoring three goals and chipping in two assists.

But his absence is just the latest injury setback for the club, which also has lost midfielder Jack Wilshere as well as defenders Nacho Monreal and Laurent Koscielny.

The team will also be without defender Calum Chambers for Saturday's match with Newcastle through suspension, leaving Wenger thin on options in defense.
