Paris, France – Nene scored a brace for his team-high 15th and 16th goals, and PSG pummeled Sochaux, 6-1, on Sunday to close within two points of first-place Montpellier in Ligue 1.
PSG's Javier Pastore and Sochaux's Modibo Maiga traded goals inside 15 minutes, but Thiago Motto put PSG in front for good in the 25th minute, Jeremy Menez put his side up by two before half, and Nene added his brace after half.
Sylvain Armand capped PSG's win with a stoppage-time goal.
PSG slipped five points behind Montpellier on Saturday, when the leaders earned a 1-0 win over Valenciennes. Now the gap is back to two with just five matches left in the season.
Sochaux lost for the third time in its last five and sits 19th and in danger of relegation, although it is just one point from safety.
Lyon 3, Lorient 2
Lyon, France - Bafetimbi Gomis scored in the 85th minute as Lyon rallied from two goals down to edge Lorient, 3-2, on Sunday at the Stade de Gerland in Ligue 1 for its fourth win in its last six.
Kevin Monnet-Paquet and Mathias Autret scored in a four-minute stretch midway through the first half for Lorient, but Cris scored before half, Lisandro Lopez tied the match in the 77th and Gomis followed with the game-winner.
Lyon moved back into fourth place in the standings, which is good enough for a Europa League berth next season. Lorient lost for the third time in its last four games and is 14th, just two points above the relegation zone.
Ajaccio 0, Nancy 0
Ajaccio, France - Ajaccio tied Nancy, 0-0, on Sunday at the Stade Francois Coty as both sides picked up a point in their battle for Ligue 1 survival.
Ajaccio has tied five of its last six during a seven-game stretch with just one loss, as it has moved one point clear of the bottom three and Brest and Sochaux - both level on 33 points in the bottom three.
Nancy moved its unbeaten streak to eight games and is eight points clear of the bottom three in 11th place.
