Polk leads balanced UTEP to 69-65 win over Tulane

John Bohannon added 11 points and Randy Culpepper and Gabriel McCulley 10 apiece for the Miners (17-4, 5-1), who are tied with Memphis for the Conference USA lead.
The Green Wave (12-7, 2-4) got a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds from Kendall Timmons, 13 points from Jordan Callahan and 11 from David Booker.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}UTEP, which shot 53.1 percent (26 of 49), registered its 14th consecutive home victory and 13th straight conference home game.
UTEP trailed by nine points in the first half and 38-35 at intermission but pulled into a tie when Polk's 3-pointer opened the second half. The Miners took the lead for good when Bohannon converted a three-point play for a 55-52 edge with 9:48 to go, but they never led by more than seven.
