CHICAGO – Megan Podkowa scored 22 points and Mart'e Grays had 16 off the bench as No. 25 DePaul coasted to an 87-34 win over Chicago State on Sunday.
The Blue Demons (6-2) scored the first 17 points of the game, holding the Cougars (0-7) off the board until Layne Murphy scored at the 13:36 mark.
It was 44-19 at the half and DePaul scored the first 12 of the second half, turning that into a 19-2 run to lead 62-20 with 15:02 left.
Chicago State shot 25 percent in the first half, missing all eight of its 3-pointers, and committed 21 turnovers. The Cougars had 22 turnovers in the second half.
DePaul turned those turnovers into 33 points and had a 46-18 advantage scoring inside.
Brittany Hrynko added 13 points for the Blue Demons and Megan Rogowski had 11.
