Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Rod Barajas left Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with a bone bruise in his left knee.

In the first inning, Barajas used his left leg to block the plate when Jimmy Rollins came home on a single from Hunter Pence.

Rollins was safe on the play as he touched the plate after going around the leg, but he grazed Barajas' foot and Barajas limped a bit after the play. He stayed in for the rest of the inning, but was replaced by Michael McKenry in the second.

The team announced the injury later in the game and that Barajas will have the knee treated before being re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Barajas entered the game batting .224 with seven home runs and 18 RBI through 52 games in his first season with the Pirates.
