ATLANTA – Philadelphia shortstop Jimmy Rollins is back in the lineup, a day after he was benched in the middle of a game for failing to hustle.
Rollins flied out to start Friday night's game at Atlanta.
Phillies manager Charlie Manuel pulled the star shortstop Thursday after a pair of baserunning mistakes in the sixth inning against the New York Mets. Rollins didn't run hard on a popup that was dropped for an error and later was caught in a rundown.
Manuel says Rollins apologized to him Friday.
The former NL MVP acknowledged the mistakes and added that he meant no disrespect to Manuel or his teammates.
