PGA Championship resumes

The third round of the PGA Championship resumed Sunday under blue skies and beautiful conditions at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.
After heavy storms battered the course Saturday afternoon, play was stopped for the day. Golfers were back in position at 7:45 a.m. ET Sunday morning and, if all goes well weather-wise, and it's forecast to do so, the championship should end on time.
When the horn sounded to stop play Saturday, Rory McIlroy had just bogeyed the ninth to fall into a tie for the lead with second-round co-leader Vijay Singh, who made a ridiculous birdie at the par-5 seventh.

The pair is knotted in first at 6-under par.
When they returned Sunday, McIlroy missed two very short birdie tries and Singh holed a long par save at nine to stay in a share of the lead.
If there was one player who was excited to stop play on Saturday it was Tiger Woods.

The 4-time PGA champion, and second-round co-leader, bogeyed three of his last four holes Saturday and left himself almost 10 feet for par at the eighth when play stopped. He fell down to 1-under par for the tournament and was five off the lead.
It got worse on Sunday.
Woods missed that par putt and fell to even-par for the championship, six strokes behind the co-leaders.

Adam Scott is trying for redemption after his collapse at Royal Lytham & St. Annes three weeks ago and his round on Saturday did a lot to help him reach that goal.
Scott was 4-under on his front nine before the suspension and was third at minus-5. He bogeyed the 11th hole Sunday morning and is tied for third with Carl Pettersson, one of three second-round leaders, at 4-under.
