Pelicans part ways with forward Darius Miller, forward-center Patric Young

The New Orleans Pelicans waived small forward Darius Miller and power forward Patric Young.

The roster moves, announced Sunday, trim the Pelicans' roster to 13.

Miller has appeared in five games with one start this season, averaging 0.4 points and 0.2 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game. Miller was a 2012 second-round draft choice out of Kentucky, where he won a national title with Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis. He has career averages of 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 102 games.

Young joined the Pelicans as an undrafted free agent out of Florida this past offseason. Playing both power forward and center, Young appeared in seven preseason games but did not play in the regular season.
