Patriots release TE Scaife
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The New England Patriots released veteran tight end Bo Scaife on Tuesday.
Scaife was signed by the Patriots as a free agent on June 7.
A sixth-round pick by Tennessee in the 2005 draft, Scaife played 90 games for the Titans over the next six seasons, recording 251 receptions for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He then signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent prior to last season, but was forced to sit out the entire year with a neck injury.
New England also released offensive lineman Mike Ingersoll.
