Foxboro, MA – The New England Patriots released defensive lineman Jonathan Fanene on Tuesday.
Fanene, 30, had spent each of his prior seven NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He recorded 24 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks in 16 games -- two starts -- last season.
He's tallied 103 tackles, 13 1/2 sacks and one interception over the course of his career.
In addition, New England also released offensive lineman Kyle Hill and kicker Chris Koepplin.
