Florida Panthers goaltender Jose Theodore could be ready to start Game 7 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against New Jersey after missing the last game with an unspecified injury.
Theodore made 30 saves in a 3-0 shutout on Saturday in Game 5 to give Florida a 3-2 lead in the series, but missed Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss. He took part in a Wednesday workout and head coach Kevin Dineen indicated that the former Hart Trophy winner could make the start on Thursday.
"[Theodore] deserves the start if he can go," Dineen said after Thursday's morning skate.

Scott Clemmensen played Tuesday's game and would be set to start if Theodore is unable to take the ice Thursday. The Panthers had also recalled Jacob Markstrom from their AHL affiliate on Tuesday to serve as Clemmensen's backup.
