Pacquiao scores unanimous decision over Algieri

Macau, China (SportsNetwork.com) - Manny Pacquiao knocked down previously unbeaten Chris Algieri six times en route to a unanimous decision in a WBO welterweight title fight on Sunday in China.

Pacquiao dominated from the outset and won by scores of 119-103 on two cards and 120-102 on the other. He improved to 57-5-2, winning his third straight bout since a knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in December 2012.

Algieri had won his first 20 fights and was the WBO junior welterweight champ, but he was no match for the native of the Philippines on Sunday.

Pacquiao was credited with his first knockdown in the second round, then sent Algieri to the canvas twice in the sixth. A devastating left was the second of two more knockdowns in the ninth and he floored the New York native again near the conclusion of the 10th.

The only thing Pacquiao didn't get was his first knockout since 2009.
