TULSA, Okla. – Dominique Morrison scored 18 points to lead Oral Roberts past Centenary 78-65 on Saturday night, stretching the Gents losing streak to 26 — longest in NCAA Division I basketball.
Damen Bell-Holter and Warren Niles added 13 points each for the Golden Eagles (9-12, 6-3 Summit League), who have won four in a row.
Logan Lowery and Travis Sims scored 12 points each to lead the Gents (0-21, 0-9), who are in their final Division I season before moving to Division III.
Oral Roberts led 41-21 at halftime and increased its advantage to 57-33 on Morrisons three-point play with 10:36 left. Centenary cut its deficit to 68-58 on Aaron Harwells basket with 2:44 remaining, but Morrison responded with a three-point play to ignite a clinching 8-0 run.
Bell-Holter had a game-high eight rebounds as Oral Roberts outrebounded Centenary 43-28.
The Golden Eagles have 14 consecutive wins over the Gents.
