Oilers D Fedun breaks leg

St. Paul, MN – Edmonton Oilers defenseman Taylor Fedun broke his right leg during Friday's preseason win over the Minnesota Wild.

Fedun crashed into the end boards during the second period. Minnesota's Eric Nystrom, who was chasing close behind, reached around Fedun with his stick in an attempt to touch the puck and avoid an icing call.

"It's a complex fracture," Oilers head coach Tom Renney said of the injury.
