Oakland recalls Blevins and Outman
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Oakland Athletics recalled pitchers Jerry A Sacramento Friday.
Blevins rejoins the A's for the fifth time this season. The 27-year-old has appeared in 17 games and has a 3.93 ERA and no decisions.
Outman will be making his second stint with the big league club. He has an 8-8 record and a 3.47 earned run average in eight starts with Oakland, but is expected to take a spot in the bullpen for the first time this season.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The A's also optioned pitchers Bruce Billings and Jordan Norberto to Sacramento.
Billings allowed seven runs on six hits and four walks in 1 1/3 innings against the New York Yankees on Thursday, including the record-setting third grand slam of the contest in a 22-9 defeat.
Norberto also appeared in the game, allowing four runs on one hit and five walks in two-thirds of an inning.
