Boston, MA – The Oakland Athletics recalled pitchers Jerry A Sacramento Friday.
Blevins rejoins the A's for the fifth time this season. The 27-year-old has appeared in 17 games and has a 3.93 ERA and no decisions.
Outman will be making his second stint with the big league club. He has an 8-8 record and a 3.47 earned run average in eight starts with Oakland, but is expected to take a spot in the bullpen for the first time this season.
The A's also optioned pitchers Bruce Billings and Jordan Norberto to Sacramento.
Billings allowed seven runs on six hits and four walks in 1 1/3 innings against the New York Yankees on Thursday, including the record-setting third grand slam of the contest in a 22-9 defeat.
Norberto also appeared in the game, allowing four runs on one hit and five walks in two-thirds of an inning.
