Notre Dame RB Gray probably done for season

Notre Dame senior running back Jonas Gray will probably miss the remainder of the season with what head coach Brian Kelly called "a significant knee injury."

"That's unfortunately what it looks like right now," Kelly said during a teleconference Sunday.

Gray rushed for 61 yards and a score in Saturday's win over Boston College, but left in the third quarter.

Kelly said Gray's MRI results wouldn't be available Sunday, but he expects them to show that the running back won't be available for next week's Stanford game and beyond.

"The MRI will probably confirm what we know to be, as I mentioned, a significant knee injury," the coach said.

Gray, 21, rushed for 791 yards and 12 touchdowns in 11 games for the Fighting Irish (8-3) this season.
