Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon says he hasn't mastered Cleveland's offense since returning from a 10-game suspension.

Gordon on Thursday took the blame for running the wrong pass route in Sunday's loss at Buffalo on a play where quarterback Brian Hoyer was intercepted. Gordon said some of the Browns' terminology is different from training camp before he began serving his suspension for a failed drug test.

Gordon said he needs to study a little more so he can catch up after missing so much time. He believes his chemistry with Hoyer should improve over the season's final month.

The Pro Bowler said he feels much more connected to his teammates than while he was out.

Browns coach Mike Pettine said Gordon gave more consistent effort in his second game back, but that there's still room for improvement.
