Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - No. 3 draft pick Dante Fowler, Jr. suffered an apparent left knee injury on Friday during the first day of practice at the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamp.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said Fowler was being evaluated and the team would know more Friday night. ESPN reported the injury as a torn ACL that will keep Fowler out for the season.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive end went down during a drill when his left leg buckled as he rushed the passer. He was helped off the field by trainers.
Fowler was drafted third overall last week after racking up 14 1/2 sacks in three seasons at Florida.
